Samsung’s Unpacked promo image intriguingly shows four devices from the company that will be unveiled at the end of January. If rumors are to be believed, the South Korean manufacturer’s flagship smartphone series will see a new member – the Galaxy S25 Slim, alongside the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The company thus appears to be preparing to compete with Apple and its iPhone 17 Air.
The main question that everyone has is how thin will the Galaxy S25 Slim be. Popular Chinese insider Ice Universe tried to answer it. According to him, the upcoming smartphone from Samsung will be more than 6 mm thick, and this is definitely less than 7 mm. In this case, the palm for the thinnest smartphone in the world will probably go to Apple, since according to the latest rumors, the thickness of the iPhone 17 Air will be from 5 to 6 mm. To achieve this result, the company’s engineers will have to sacrifice a lot, including installing only one camera on the back, like the iPhone SE.
Although the Galaxy S25 Slim will most likely be unveiled during the Unpacked event, the new product will only go on sale in late 2025.
