Trouver E30 Ultra Review | Taazaauto

The Trouver brand is related to Dreame, so the similarities between the gadgets of the two companies are not surprising.

As for me, a washing robot vacuum cleaner with a self-cleaning station should be in every home. Such a gadget solves the problem of washing the floor, and as for me, this is the most routine task in cleaning. The appearance of Trouver E30 Ultra with a more affordable price compared to its classmates can only be welcomed. I suggest you understand the features of the new product.

Delivery set

Initially, the robot is equipped with everything necessary for work: a set of microfiber cloths and a brush. There are no spare consumables in the box, you will have to buy them as they wear out. From my experience, I can say that the cloths are preserved even after a year and a half of regular work, as well as the brush. You will have to regularly change the filter inside the robot and the dust bag in the docking station.

Appearance of the robot and docking station

Visually and in format, the Trouver E30 Ultra is a classic robot vacuum cleaner in a white case without color accents. The top cover is glossy, everything else is matte for the sake of practicality. The height is 8 cm, the protruding lidar adds a little less than 2 cm, giving a total of 9.7 cm. The model fits under modern furniture on legs without problems.

The docking station also has a minimalist look without any additional decor. Just a white matte case that will fit into any interior. And the top cover is made of good matte plastic, which means it will not get scratched. The format of the Trouver station is the same as the L10s Pro Ultra from Dreame.

Under the top cover, as usual, there are two containers: 4.5 liters for clean water and 4 liters for dirty water.

And behind the front cover there is a dust bag, which automatically sucks in dust from the robot’s dust collector.

Please note that there is no detergent container behind the front cover. And there is no space for a cartridge on top, as in some Dreame models. The lack of an automatic detergent dosing function is the main simplification of the Trouver E30 Ultra.

There is a wire organizer on the back of the docking station. That is, the extra length of the wire can be removed for aesthetics. Of the nuances, I will note the straight plug of the power cable, the L-shaped one will be more convenient for placing the station close to the wall with a socket.

Cleaning and self-cleaning

Trouver E30 Ultra has a full-fledged navigation system based on a camera, lidar and a group of IR sensors. The robot creates a map of the room, divided into rooms, navigates well and avoids obstacles. Rubberized wheels on a spring suspension are also quite familiar and overcome thresholds a couple of centimeters high.

The operating principle of the robot vacuum cleaner is familiar from other similar models. The side brush sweeps dust to the center closer to the central roller, which rotates and helps suck up all the debris. And then the rotating wet mops wash the floor. The suction power is great by the standards of the basic model – 7000 Pa (75 W). And the wet cleaning system is complete, with a constant supply of clean water and subsequent intake of dirty water.

Trouver E30 Ultra mops do not move to the sides. The issue of cleaning the space along the walls is solved algorithmically: during cleaning, the robot can “swing” its body to reduce the blind zone.

You can turn off wet cleaning in the app. In this case, Trouver E30 Ultra will lift the mops 10.5 millimeters from the floor and perform regular dry cleaning. For carpets, you can set up a complete bypass or switch to dry cleaning. In the second case, there are two more options: increasing the suction power to the maximum and slowing down the movement by half to improve the quality of cleaning.

During the cleaning process, the robot can return to the station for intermediate mop cleaning at a specified frequency (by default, once every 10 m², can be configured via the app). And at the end of the cleaning, a full self-cleaning cycle of four stages begins:

  1. emptying the vacuum cleaner dust container;
  2. washing mops;
  3. removal of dirty water and refill with clean water;
  4. Long-term drying of the mop with hot air.

The application was mentioned above. It is Trouver’s own, named after the brand and available on Google Play. The Russification is clear, and the number and usefulness of the settings is exhaustive. For the E30 Ultra, I could not find the ability to connect to the camera via the Internet to remotely assess the home environment.

Review

The formula for creating Trouver E30 Ultra is quite simple: the advanced Dreame model is taken as a basis and all options, the absence of which does not interfere with cleaning, are cut off. The basic values are completely preserved: the robot is perfectly oriented in the apartment, washes the floor with clean mops, and then empties the dust collector and washes the mops at the station.

The difference from the most advanced models is slightly less automation of self-service. In this model, the rags are washed with cold water, so from time to time they need to be removed and washed manually. There is no feature with self-cleaning of the station tray, so it needs to be wiped with a damp cloth as it gets dirty. A significant limitation can be considered the lack of a cartridge for detergent. Although I did not notice a difference in the result of work, the only thing missing is a pleasant smell of freshness, which chemistry gives. Therefore, the new product can be recommended to those who are tired of washing the floor manually, but do not want to pay a hundred thousand rubles for the flagship version.

Pros:

  • full wet cleaning;
  • high suction power 7000 Pa;
  • self-cleaning at the station;
  • customization of cleaning via the app;
  • integration with smart home;
  • minimalist appearance.

You may not like:

  • There are no spare accessories included;
  • no detergent cartridge;
  • There is no way to connect to the camera remotely.
